Last month's session involved various revisions to administrative and education procedures, including the following provisions:

Q&A with Rick Agosto

Q: What was your motivation to serve on the State Board of Education?

A: Heavily invested in my financial investment profession, I was encouraged to run based on the need for strong investment strategies and oversight in the Permanent School Fund. The Fund is the source for textbooks and, in essence, the continuation of education for the children of this great state.

I grew up in public schools in the suburbs of San Antonio, and my education has greatly benefitted me in numerous facets of my life. At the risk of sounding cliche, I did jump at the opportunity to serve Texas for the betterment of our childrens' future.
